Thank you all for your tremendous support of this project! I have been honored, humbled, and overwhelmed by your feedback. Thanks for taking the time to write and for sharing so many great stories about your lacrosse experiences!

Your support and generosity has made it possible for us to donate well over 2,000 copies of the book to charitable organizations, US Lacrosse’s BRIDGE Program, and several companies of U.S. Marines stationed in Iraq (who are led by former lacrosse players with whom I am connected)! I can’t tell you how much all of that has meant to us.

What’s new with the project?

Well, in the edition coming out on 1 OCT, we are including a set of “Student Discussion/Writing Questions” which can be used as start points for “Seminar-type” or “Book Club” discussions. The last question asks for each reader to draw their own carving on the stick. I am very excited to see your drawings. Time and technology will be the limiting factors in what I can post on the web…but I will do my best! Please send them to me! I must thank my wonderful colleagues, Kathy Hobbs and Tom Duquette (who have been with this project from the very beginning), for their expert assistance in writing and editing Seminar questions. I hope you will enjoy that new addition.

I am very, very excited about the audio version of the story provided by my colleague, J. Sills O’Keefe.

I am desperately trying to carve out some time to adapt this story into a children’s book – so keep an eye out for that down the road (???).

I have a few other “special projects” that I am working on – but not quite ready to announce. Please check back in a month or so and there may be some new info.

This project has been so much more and gone so much further than I could have dreamed. It has put me in contact with – and been driven forward by - so many wonderful people like you. Thank you so much for your support. Let’s see where it goes…
